The first six tenants have moved into properties at Balunie Avenue and Balerno Place, Douglas, and it is expected that all 47 properties will be occupied by the end of the summer.
In total, Home Scotland is building 42 two and three-bedroom family sized homes, including two specially adapted bungalows for wheelchair users, along with five flats for people with special needs.
The timber-framed properties were supplied by leading timber frame manufacturer Kingspan Offsite and built using modern methods of construction, a first for Dundee.

Home Scotland has worked in partnership with Dundee City Council, who sold the land and is now nominating people on its housing waiting list, and Communities Scotland, which provided funding of £3.5m towards the development.
Margarita Morrison, Managing Director of Home Scotland, said: "As well as providing much-needed high quality new homes, this development is contributing to the regeneration of the area, and we are delighted to welcome our first tenants."
