The Tile & Stone Show 08 has revealed its seminar and demonstration programme, on the run-up to next month's exhibition (ExCeL from 29 June to 1 July).
Speakers taking the rostrum during the three-day event will include acclaimed designer, Wayne Hemingway, Conran Design, Lesley Reid from the Tile Association, David Richardson BRE, Chris Blanchett and marketing expert Leo Aspden.
Meanwhile, exhibitors hosting live demonstrations will include Bosch, Benfer, Diamond Jack, Kerakoll UK and Plasplugs.
Running throughout the show, the seminar programme will span the practical, inspirational and hot industry debate: Wayne Hemingway will explore 'design for the masses rather than the elite', with further creative presentations from Conran Design's Jill Webb and Joanne Hargreaves, and Buckland Books founder, Chris Blanchett, who will provide an illustrative tour of 'The Influence of Design Movements on 20th Century Tiles'.
Meanwhile, David Richardson BRE will cover 'Basic Practice on Laying Floors', Lesley Reid will make a presentation on behalf of the industry and Leo Aspden will explore the power of marketing.
Giving exhibitors a unique opportunity to see the latest tools and equipment in practise, this year’s Demonstration Zone will add a practical ingredient to the event.
Other show highlights include the popular TTA Live Tiling Competition, returning for 2008 with a new free design element, and the results of the show’s BCT Tile Design Competition, where student finalists' tile ranges will be displayed and a host of prizes awarded to the winners.
