Maryhill Housing Association is celebrating after being granted Investor in People status once again.
The Association has retained the coveted Investors in People seal of approval after undergoing its latest assessment. The news means that Maryhill continues to meet the organisation's rigourous requirements and can carry on calling itself an Investors in People organisation.
The Association says it is delighted and that it continues to place great emphasis on a long-standing commitment to ensuring staff feel valued. In its assessment, Maryhill was described as being "a good place to work" and where "people were unanimous in believing the Association offers an excellent service".
The assessment went on to say that "the organisation involves everyone in considering its annual objectives and helped people identify learning and development needs which must be seen as a great strength".
Willie Briody, Director of Maryhill, said: "This award recognises the hard work of the Association's staff and they are to be congratulated on retaining the Standard once more. The assessment has given us a platform to build on, recognising as it does our strengths as well as room for improvement.
"It also send an important message to our tenants and others who deal with us that they are engaged with an organisation which places high importance on staff development and that in turn improves the service we offer."
Investors in People is widely recognised by employers as an essential tool in improving performance. Investors in People Scotland say its vision is to have 10,000 organisations working with it by 2009 which would cover 20% of the workforce.
