The new members are Mr Tim Rollinson and Mr Dennis Dick. Tim Rollinson is an ecologist with more than 30 years experience in sustainable forest management.
Currently Director General and Deputy Chairman of the Forestry Commission he is also Chair of the Global Partnership on Forest Landscape Restoration and a Patron of Tree Aid, a charity working in Africa.

He has a strong interest in sustainable development and will bring to the Board skills and experience in the conservation, management and restoration of natural resources.
Dennis Dick has over 50 years experience in journalism, public relations and television and radio production.
He has made over 200 TV programmes for broadcasting both in England and Scotland. He was Chairman of the Scottish Wildlife Trust from 2005-2008 and currently sits on the Scottish Biodiversity Committee. He will bring strong communications skills to the RBGE board as well as a wide knowledge of biodiversity affairs in Scotland.
Both appointments will be for four years and will run from March 1, 2009 to February 28, 2013.
The posts are part-time and attract no remuneration. The total time commitment is approximately 16 days per year.
Mr Rollinson and Mr Dick hold no other public appointments.
