All external entrances had a new security system fitted and a buggy park was installed which allows tenants to park and recharge their electric buggies. The complex has also moved into the 21st Century with the formation of a Smart House, which is designed with new IT smart technology and assists Social Services to assess tenants with severe disabilities who wish to return to their own homes.

Councillor Kathy Morrice, Spokesperson for Community Wellbeing said: "I was very pleased to re-open Ellisland Court and view the excellent facilities now available to our tenants.

"Everyone has worked very hard on this project and I was pleased to offer thanks to the Housing Service, the Council's Asset Improvement Service, Social Services, the main contractor, Clark Contracts of Paisley, and David Cook from LCS who greatly assisted in helping to resettle our tenants while the work was ongoing."

The tenants were presented with a small gift and Mr Hepburn the longest serving tenant, who has lived in the complex for over 10 years, was presented with a special gift from the Council to commemorate the occasion.
