Ben Property, Edinburgh's residential letting and property management company, has reported an over supply of properties available for let in the capital throughout the festival month as city centre householders seek to lease out their properties to coincide with the event.
The firm is offering a bespoke service for performers, visitors and industry professionals looking to rent accommodation for the Edinburgh Festival during the months of July and August.
Stuart Montgomery, Business Development Director of Ben Property, said: "Over recent weeks we have been inundated with last minute requests from enterprising locals seeking to earn some extra cash by renting out their properties throughout the duration of the Festival. Whilst we welcome all enquiries, it is worth emphasising that our client base of performers and industry professionals tend to book their accommodation far earlier in the year and are seeking properties as close to the festival venues as possible.
"The process of finding a property to let within walking distance of Festival venues can be quite daunting for those in the media industry, especially if they are not familiar with the city. Our festival lets service has been designed specifically to make that task easier by responding to their accommodation needs with a list of properties which match their requirements."
Whether its client is an owner occupier or an experienced landlord with numerous properties to let out for the month of August, Ben Property say they are dedicated to providing them with an efficient and reliable service.
Mr Montgomery added: "The process of letting a property over the festival can be quite a profitable exercise but it can also be a large commitment on an owner's time and resources. With Ben Property, owners can be safe in the knowledge that their most valuable asset will be professionally managed to the highest standards at all times."
Part of the E.G. Thomson (Holdings) group of companies, Ben Property is a boutique residential letting and property management operation with a diverse property portfolio ranging from one bedroom studio flats to full townhouses and detached houses, all based within Edinburgh and the surrounding area.
