Austrian crystal company Swarovski will lead a glittering trio of new retailers at Aberdeen's Bon Accord centre.
The worldwide luxury brand retailer will be joined by fragrance specialist Jo Malone and womenswear retailer Hobbs who have all taken 10-year leases on a combined space of 6571 sq ft.
The Bon Accord & St Nicholas Centres are owned by Land Securities and British Land. On behalf of the partnership, Katherine Armstead of Land Securities, said: “These new additions to the retail offering at Bon Accord will strengthen our portfolio. They follow a long line of iconic fashion brands which have recently opened and are testament to our vision for 2010 and beyond.”
Swarovski is famous for its timelessly modern finished crystal products, sold through its network of more than 1,150 stores. Its merchandise ranges from jewellery to collectables, fashion accessories and homeware.
General Manager of Swarovski UK Ltd, Hayley Quinn said: “Our Swarovski boutique in Aberdeen will join an existing array of outlets from Tokyo to Paris. The diverse range of crystal products will be in perfect company alongside some of the high street’s most popular brand names and I am certain that we will quickly establish a customer base in the city.”
The new trio will join Topshop, Topman and River Island, amongst many others, who moved into the central atrium in 2009 following a £13m refurbishment. The multi-million pound facelift has brought an additional 95,000 sq ft of retail space to the Bon Accord Centre.
FG Burnett, Eric Young & Co and Cushman & Wakefield acted on behalf of the partnership. Harper Dennis Hobbs, Miles Commercial and Stephen Kane & Co, representing Swarovski, Jo Malone and Hobbs respectively.
