The proposed development will feature a mix of 2, 3, and 4-bedroom houses and flats, constructed using innovative volumetric modular construction techniques. This off-site manufacturing approach will expedite the building process and significantly reduce construction time on-site.
The new homes will be highly energy-efficient, incorporating features such as solar panels, air-source heat pumps, battery storage, and EV charging points. They will also meet the stringent requirements of the Glasgow Standard, ensuring a high level of quality and sustainability.
WSHA has a strong track record in delivering sustainable housing projects, as evidenced by their recent awards for the Dundashill development. This project is being developed by West of Scotland Housing Association in collaboration with Connect Modular and the design team comprising MAST Architects, Langmuir and Hay, Cowal Design, Rybka and MBLA Landscape Architects. Connect Modular has been appointed following mini-competition under the SPA NH3 MMC Framework.
