Proceeds from the sale of the Graham Street site, which was brought to market by Jones Lang LaSalle, have contributed towards the redevelopment of the College’s Gardyne Campus which provides modernised educational facilities for staff and students.
The Graham Street site will be redeveloped for new build residential after Persimmon Homes obtained planning permission to build 46 homes.
Nina Stobie, senior surveyor atJones Lang LaSalle, said: "The former Graham Street Campus site is ideally situated to take advantage of the city’s main internal road network, and will provide a quality location for the residential development."
Jim Kirkpatrick, managing director of Persimmon Homes East Scotland, said: "Obtaining planning consent for the St Michael’s Grove development is an integral part of Persimmon Homes’ expansion programme and will benefit the local community with much needed housing and jobs.
"The site redevelopment will provide a mixture of two bedroom terraces, three bedroom semi-detached and three, four and five bedroom detached properties, suitable for both first-time buyers and growing families.

"With support available, through various schemes and initiatives, Persimmon is able to offer potential purchasers the right house to meet their budget."
The sale follows Dundee College’s recent business plan which promotes the consolidation of its education facilities from five campuses throughout Dundee down to two.

The College’s Constitution Road Campus and Melrose Terrace Campus, are currently being marketed by for sale by Jones Lang LaSalle offering scope for a range of uses, including: mixed use; residential; care home and institutional uses.
The Constitution Road Campus, extending to 2.3 acres is situated in a sought after area to the north of Dundee City Centre, nearby the redeveloped site of the former Dundee Royal Infirmary, and the established Crescents Conservation Area. The site offers excellent transport links with direct bus routes to the city centre, Dundee Airport and Dundee Bus Station. Originally built in the 1960’s, the campus comprises of an eight-storey main tower building, and a smaller tower with five storeys, which are joined by a two-storey link section.
Melrose Terrace Campus is situated on the north-eastern boundary of Dundee City Centre, with close proximity to a number of amenities, retail centres, and strong public transport links including a direct bus route to the city centre. Extending to 4 acres, the site is situated within a residential locale, and would be ideally suited for a new build residential development.
