Tollcross Housing Association has awarded a £700,000 contract to fit out its properties in the east end of Glasgow..
City Building have been awarded the contract, which has been drawn up to fully refurbish 126 properties.
Work has already begun following the completion of surveys in August.
Four apprentices are being contracted to assist in the completion of the work, which will see new kitchens and bathrooms renovated over a 30-week period.
The old kitchens will be removed and floor and wall finishes will be renewed with up-to-date modern fittings. The bathroom renovations will see the stock refurbished to a modern standard.
Cllr Paul Carey, chair of City Building, said: "City Building has an excellent track record of delivering first-class building projects. We are delighted to be working in partnership with Tollcross Housing Association to deliver these refurbishments to the east end of Glasgow."
Dr Graham Paterson, executive director of City Building, added: "Our four highly-trained apprentices will benefit from being on site for this project. Like Tollcross Housing Association we believe in working within communities to make a real difference to everyday lives."
