The Tyne Esk Leader programme in East Lothian has opened for another round of funding to assist local community projects in the area.
The programme has already seen £3m given to local projects.
East Lothian and Midlothian groups and organisations that are undertaking projects to enhance local communities and business networks can apply for a grant under the scheme.
Tyne Esk Leader distributes European funding through Local Action Groups in rural areas.
Projects may only be funded for a maximum of one year and are required to have a completion date of March 2014.
The grants are able to fund up to 90% of project costs, but it is expected that successful projects would develop a package of match funding and indicate sustainability beyond the life of the project.
The Leader funding also seeks to encourage community involvement, partnership working and innovation.
Many projects have availed of Leader funding so far, including a community cafe, a church conversion to accommodate secular community projects and a scheme which allows small food and drink suppliers and producers to attend events like the BBC Good Food show.
Applicants must complete the enquiry form by Tuesday 11 December.
Eligible applicants will then be invited to take part in two information workshops to develop their application.
Final applications must to be submitted by Monday 18 February 2013. Final decisions will be made on the applications in mid March 2013.
Anyone interested in applying should visit www.tyneesk.co.uk , contact project officer Sheila McWhirter on 01620 827101 or email smcwhirter@eastlothian.gov.uk
