The Covesea Lighthouse Community Company Ltd will use its £26,000 match funding to develop the Covesea Skerries lighthouse near Lossiemouth into a heritage, education and visitor attraction which will create two full-time and one-part times jobs.

Elsewhere, Cluny Fish Ltd was awarded £16,750 to help introduce a new seafood soup filling line at its premises in Buckie. This follows a funding grant from the same source last year which allowed the firm to install specialist equipment to give products a longer shelf life. The latest award is likely to see Cluny Fish create another two full-time posts.
Funding from the £400,000 budget is still available for new projects and ideas from micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and third sector and public sector organisations.
A minimum grant of £2,500 is available for the sustainable development of fisheries areas and the scheme can fund, on average, 50% of project costs.
The deadline for the final round of applications is 19 November 2013.
