New Builds For Dundee To Be Discussed

Councillors in Dundee are to discuss plans to create almost £1m of work to create new roads, footpaths, landscaping and car parking in the city.

The works are part of the on-going Lochee regeneration, and tenders have already been submitted for various improvement schemes.

The Highgate redevelopment in Lochee, costing £935,000, will create a new road and associated footpaths connecting Coupar Angus Road and Lochee High Street, and also includes work for the new transport hub, the creation of a new car park and the refurbishment of an existing car park, as well as a new landscaped area.


Tayside Contracts is being recommended to carry out that work.

Will Dawson, Convener of Dundee City Council's City Development Committee said: "It is vital that we continue to deliver on our on going commitment to the people of Dundee to improve the infrastructure.

"These works will make a significant difference to the lives of people who use them and create new and easier access in areas that are already beginning to flourish."
