Councillors are being asked to contribute £95,000 towards the £600,000 facility on the grounds of Craigie High School.
The scheme has been the subject of long term planning and fund-raising by Craigie Community Sports Hub (CCSH).
A council committee will be told on 22 June that the Hub has almost reached its financial target.
If funding is agreed, diggers could potentially be on site next month.

The Cash Back for Communities Scheme has already contributed funding administered by sportscotland.
The Robertson Trust, Gannochy Trust, Garfield Weston Foundation, Moffat Charitable Trust and the Scottish Football Partnership have also donated towards the project.
Councillors will hear that the £95,000 contribution from the local authority would come from the open space allowance in this year’s capital plan.
Chief Executive of sportscotland, Stewart Harris, said: "We are building a world-class sporting system for everyone in Scotland and we view this award of £300,000 to the pitch at Craigie High School as a key part of this.
"The Cashback for Pitches Fund is an excellent example of where a coordinated and strategic approach has been taken towards the delivery of a number of 3G pitches for rugby and football across the country."
