Work is continuing on a multi-million pound programme to build new schools across the Scottish Borders.
Contractors are building three primary schools and one secondary school across the region on behalf of the council.
The new £10 million Langlee Primary School is being delivered by McLaughlin and Harvey. The development, which is adjacent to the current school building, is set to be completed in the summer. Features include 14 new classrooms, sports hall, outdoor MUGA sports pitch, a centre for children with severe and complex additional support needs and provision for early learning and childcare.
The contractor is also developing the £9.7m Broomslands Primary School, featuring 12 new classrooms, an early years centre, a new games hall/dining room and upgraded playground created. The project is scheduled to be complete in 2018.
In addition, Morrison Construction is continuing work to build the new £22.5m Kelso High School. Features will include extensive sport facilities for students and the community as well as an eco-garden pond, orchard, allotment, outdoor classroom and arts and craft garden.
Elsewhere, Graham Construction is set to complete the new £8.6m Duns Primary by this summer.
The primary school will be relocated to the former High School building, as well as the creation of a new Berwickshire Locality Support Centre.
All of the developments have resulted in new jobs being created, along with new apprenticeship/work experience places. Pupils have also been treated to site tours and school visits by contractors.
A council spokesperson said: "These videos and images provide pupils, parents, staff and the local community with a great insight into how each new school is progressing.
"We have already seen the new Leader Valley additional needs school at Earlston open in February, and it is exciting to know that these four new schools will soon be providing new, modern facilities for our young people and communities."
