Nevis has highlighted the importance of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), which its team has extensive experience working with.
EIA is a process of "examining the anticipated environmental effects of a proposed project". EIAs are a requirement of The Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2017 and should be undertaken for certain types of development before planning permission can be granted.
The Nevis team has extensive experience in undertaking, coordinating and managing the EIA process for a variety of complex and diverse projects in a variety of sectors including energy, renewables, infrastructure, minerals and transport. Nevis can manage and deliver an entire EIA project from concept through to planning approval and beyond using experienced project managers and its team of technical specialists. We work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand the environmental constraints and opportunities associated with a project in order to inform the project design and the planning strategy, and to deliver a successful and cost-effective outcome.
Nevis is a corporate member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) and members of the team are Practitioner members of IEMA (PIEMA).
