Scottish Water has announced that site investigation work will take place in Glasgow's Southside, with road traffic management necessary.
The utility's alliance partner, Caledonia Water Alliance (CWA), will carry out the survey work which will take place at the following five locations:
• On Monday 04 March, work will begin on a stretch of Thornliebank Road (B769) east of the railway bridge. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation and one lane will be closed for around five days for the site investigations to be carried out.
• On Wednesday 06 March, a section of Paisley Road West will be closed westbound from its junction with Carillon Road to just beyond Racetrack Autoport BP Garage from 11pm until 5am on Thursday 07 March. Drivers are asked to follow local diversions.
• From 8pm on Thursday 07 March, Dumbreck Road will be reduced to one lane northbound near to its junction with the M8. Restrictions will be lifted at around 5am on Friday 08 March.
• From 8pm on Monday 11 March, Dumbreck Road will be reduced to one lane northbound from the entrance to Haggs Castle Golf Course. Restrictions will be lifted at around 5am on Tuesday 12 March.
• From Monday 11 March, a stretch of Pollokshaws Road opposite Pollokshaws Burgh Hall will be reduced to one lane northbound for around five days. A temporary bus stop will be in operation north of the closure.
Jane McKenzie, Scottish Water's communications manager said: "This work forms part of a wider programme of survey work which is being undertaken in advance of future investment in our water network.
"We will do all we can to minimise disruption throughout, with many of the closures planned to take place overnight when the roads are less busy and temporary traffic lights operated manually during peak travel times to help keep traffic flowing.
"We'd like to thank affected road users and residents in advance for their patience and understanding during these essential survey works."
