The famous Galleon Centre is the subject of a £14 million project to update and upgrade the existing facilities.
Those interested in the future of the building are asked to take part in a survey.
Welcoming the survey, Councillor Jim Roberts said: "The ongoing regeneration of Kilmarnock Town Centre is moving into an exciting new phase, and as Chair of the Galleon Trust I'm delighted that the Council has agreed this significant investment. People of all ages, abilities and fitness levels already use the Galleon, and we’re keen to hear their suggestions, but we also want to make sure that potential future users can also have their say in shaping the facilities to provide a centre that caters for all tastes and aspirations."
