Customers at Edinburgh Airport's No.1 Lounge have been offered an improved experience courtesy of HVAC specialist Ecomech.
The company worked with the airport to provide mechanical services for restaurant, bar, kitchen and toilet facilities at the lounge.
Edinburgh Airport has invested £219 million in the premises in the last 10 years and plans to invest another £250 million in the next decade on more upgrades, and was pleased to introduce the spring passengers to its stylish new airport lounge earlier this year.
Based in the East Midlands and a division of LED lighting specialists Ecolighting, Ecomech worked under main contractors AA Lovegrove Ltd to help the airport to achieve a greater customer travel experience using its 30 years' experience in design, installation and modernisation of new and existing services.
Comfort cooling, designed to cool spaces and create comfortable temperatures for passengers, was used in the lounge and bar areas and was achieved using Diffusion Ltd, chilled / LPHW ducted fan coil units and Schako ceiling-mounted swirl diffusers to ensure a low draft installation.
The project also comprised split air conditioning in the server room, general supply and return air ventilation, kitchen extract ventilation to collect and remove heat, moisture and contaminants from cooking appliances and WC extract systems.
Ecomech specialises in the design, management, and installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and is an approved air conditioning installer for a number of market leading brands such as Daikin, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu and Hitachi.
The company can also provide bespoke turn-key solutions to meet all types of ventilation services ranging from simple kitchen extract systems, through to full mechanical heating, air handling, and heat recovery systems and offers free site surveys, design and no-obligation quotation services to all sectors of the building services industry, from direct end users through to architects and main contractors.
