GAP Group is set to digitise operations across all ten of its divisions thanks to a new partnership.
The Scotland-based independent hire company has partnered with Spartan Solutions Ltd, which will see Spartan's PHALANX mobile solution utilised for equipment hire operations. This will make all processes throughout GAP's 146 depots and locations within its Plant, Tool, Lifting & TIC, Non-Mechanical, Trenching & Shoring, Welfare, Tanker Services, Survey & Safety, Event Services and Vehicle Hire divisions paper free.
Mark Anderson, Managing Director North at GAP Group, commented: "We selected Spartan because we were impressed by how much their software can help simplify and digitise our Workshop processes. PHALANX will streamline tasks such as automatic customer billing on equipment return to depot. Importantly, we have had positive feedback from our staff regarding PHALANX’s ease of use. Spartan's solution provides us with the dual benefit of improved customer service and increased productivity."
GAP and Spartan's new partnership is a further step in the right direction with regards to the hire company fulfilling its environmental goals, thanks to the considerable reduction in use of paper that this digitising will allow. GAP continuously works to reduce its impact on the environment while also encouraging behaviour change within the industry, working toward its aim of becoming net-zero by 2040 at the latest.
Jim Green, Chief Executive Officer of Spartan Solutions, added: "We are delighted to have a major hire company such as GAP Group as a customer. Their management team were impressed with our PHALANX software's ability to help meet their business objectives, and the end-users have responded positively to using our system. We look forward to further collaboration with the GAP team to deliver the full business benefits of digital operations."
