Scottish Water 'Working As Quickly As Possible' To Restore Lost Supplies

Scottish Water has said that it is "working as quickly as possible" to restore water supplies across several areas in Aberdeenshire and Tayside impacted by Storm Arwen.

Up to 10,000 properties have been affected, and Scottish Water teams are working around the clock to ensure they are restoring supplies.

Since Friday night, Scottish Water has restored supplies thousands of properties across the country.

As the effects of Storm Arwen continue, there are still around 3,000 properties without water supply and Scottish Water teams are working hard to resolve this.

The extreme weather has impacted power supplies across the country and in addition, there have been challenging conditions in some places which have caused delays and difficulty accessing some areas.

Kes Juskowiak, Water Operations General Manager at Scottish Water, said: "We will continue to work hard in challenging conditions following the extreme weather to do all we can to restore water to our customers as quickly as possible.

"We would like to apologise to all customers who have been impacted by Storm Arwen and thank our customers for their continued patience and understanding whilst we respond to one of the most significant weather events we have experienced in decades."

"We thank all customers affected for their patience and understanding whilst best efforts are made to resolve all water outages to customers impacted by Storm Arwen."
