Angus Council has renewed its call for input on the development of important regional plans for transport across Angus, Dundee City, Perth and Kinross and Stirling.
A consultation on the draft Tayside and Central Scotland Regional Transport Strategy (RTS) is due to end on 27 October.
The feedback will then be to inform the further development of a transport strategy to improve access for people and businesses and reduce the impact of how we travel on the climate. This will cover all aspects of travel in the Angus, Dundee, Perth and Kinross and Stirling Council areas, from accessing local neighbourhoods to the connections between the region and the rest of Scotland.
Councillor Andrew Parrott, Chair of Tactran, says: "We recognise that it is not enough just to ask residents to make these significant changes without providing the necessary alternatives that make it both possible and desirable, which is why this consultation is so important. With just over a week to go, I hope that as many of our residents as possible take part in this consultation as we work together for a Tactran region that is sustainable now and for future generations."
To help shape these proposals, visit tactran.gov.uk/projects/regional-transport-strategy/ and complete the survey before Monday 27 October 2023.
All responses will then be considered when finalising the Tayside and Central Scotland Regional Transport Strategy 2024 – 2034. It is intended to progress this to formal adoption early in 2024.
