SSEN Transmission has become a new partner member of Scottish Renewables joining an extensive network of organisations and businesses committed to working together to achieve national net zero ambitions.
As the voice of Scotland's renewable energy industry, Scottish Renewables' vision is for Scotland to lead the world in renewable energy, representing sectors that deliver investment, jobs, social benefits and reduce the carbon emissions which cause climate change.
The partnership announcement comes as SSEN Transmission takes forward its Pathway to 2030 programme, a £20bn investment that aims to deliver an electricity grid that unlocks Scotland's potential to be a clean energy powerhouse.
The partnership will provide opportunities for SSEN Transmission to contribute its expertise for the benefit of partner members, sharing knowledge and contributing to discussions between businesses, organisations and policy makers that are helping support delivery of Scotland and the UK's net zero targets.
Christianna Logan, Director of Customers and Stakeholders at SSEN Transmission, said: "We're delighted to become a Scottish Renewables partner member alongside businesses and organisations that are making a valuable contribution towards delivering clean energy and a just transition.
"This partnership is testament to our commitment to work alongside key stakeholders to deliver on net zero goals, while creating benefits for the communities we serve and supporting local jobs and industry.
"We look forward to engaging in positive discussions with our partners and contributing to the valuable work of Scottish Renewables to grow the renewable energy sector."
