J&E Shepherd, one of the largest independent firms of chartered surveyors in the UK, has appointed Andrew Neil to head up its busy Greenock office to help serve Inverclyde's buoyant housing market.
A rising star in J&E Shepherd, 25 year old Paisley-born Mr Neil joined the firm aged 17 as a school leaver.
While working and gaining valuable experience through the week, Andrew also completed his degree at Paisley University before going on to pass his professional exams in which he became a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Prior to his move to Greenock, Andrew was part of a larger surveying team within the Glasgow office and spent the latter part of his time there working in the west side of the city. His promotion to head up Shepherd's Greenock office marks the most significant stage in his career to date.
Mr Neil said: "I'm delighted to take up the reins at our office in Greenock and am enjoying surveying the diverse range of residential properties throughout Inverclyde, the Isle of Bute, Argyll and beyond - from one bedroom starter flats through to family homes and prestigious properties with million pound asking prices.
"The market in Greenock remains active and, with the introduction of The Home Report in December, there are likely to be interesting times ahead as we see how the market responds to the need of homebuyers and home sellers alike. I am personally looking forward to being actively involved in what will be a new experience for everyone involved in the property sector."
