Taking the plunge for charity has enabled Glasgow construction company, McKean Group, to raise over £1,500 for Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland.
Six employees of the company - Arthur Neely, Gordon Whitelaw, Andrea Watson, Debbie Nelson, Johnathan Abnett and Suzanne Lawrie - competed in this year's White Water Rafting Challenge on the River Tay in support of the charity.
Joined by two friends, Thomas Jordan Stewart and Paula McMillan, the team tackled some of the fastest white water in Scotland from Aberfeldy to Grandtully against 12 other teams, covering six miles in a respectable 52mins 53s.
The money raised will be used by Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland to help improve the quality of life for people affected by heart and stroke conditions - a cause of more deaths in Scotland than all forms of cancer combined.
Fiona Garden, Group Marketing Coordinator of McKean, said: "CHSS is a very worthy charity, and several of our colleagues have family members affected by chest, heart and stroke-related illnesses.
"Together with the other teams, we hope our contribution will make a significant impact on the funds available for medical research, advice and information, and support in the community to help combat chest, heart and stroke-related illnesses throughout Scotland."
