HLM Architects and Holophane Europe Ltd are delighted that, with the support of the Scottish construction and property industry, their first Charity Ball has raised a fantastic £5,000 for The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice.
One hundred and thirty people attended the ball at the Radisson Hotel, which was hosted by Heather Suttie. Networking and dinner were followed by the charity auction, live music and dancing.
The money raised for The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice is already being put to excellent use. Located beside the River Clyde in Glasgow City Centre, the Hospice brings comfort and peace of mind to patients, providing specialist palliative care for people with life-limiting illnesses, usually cancer, as well as support for their families and carers.
Jeny Turner at The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, said: "We are delighted that HLM and Holophane selected our charity as the beneficiary of their Ball. The money will be used to continue providing high quality care for our patients and their families.
"We rely heavily on charitable donations and thank HLM, Holophane and all those that attended the ball for their generous contribution."
Lorraine Robertson, regional director at HLM, said: "The Hospice does excellent work and we are pleased that we have been able to raise such a lot of money. We will be hosting the ball again next year where we hope to welcome more people for a night of networking and fun, and raise even more for charity."
