Graham + Sibbald, Chartered Surveyors, are celebrating their 50th Anniversary year.
The partnership have planted sustainable trees to record the event.
Senior Partner of Graham + Sibbald, Jim Robb and Managing Partner, Ian Gillies, broke the ground for the planting of 500 trees in Teaghlach Wood which is located just outside Comrie in Perthshire.
The firm believes it has thrived since its establishment, by looking forward, making the right investments and promoting key business developments. The firm aim to embrace change, whenever it comes their way.
Angus Crabbie, Director of Trees4Scotland said: "We are delighted that Graham + Sibbald have decided to plant trees in the fabulous Teaghlach Wood. One of the aims for the woodland is that it will be representative of all that is good, green and innovative about Scotland and Scottish business - which is why it is so good to have the support of one of Scotland's leading firms of Chartered Surveyors."
Graham + Sibbald's roots lie in Scotland. In February 1959, Sandy Graham, went into partnership with Greig Sibbald, to establish what was then the only solely Valuation-based practice in Dundee.
The partnership has grown considerably since its early days - to a Network of 14 Offices across the UK. From two founding partners and a secretary, Graham + Sibbald now has a complement of 250 throughout its network.
The environment ranks high on Graham + Sibbald's business agenda. The company is rolling out seminars to increase the awareness of the importance of EPC's, Green Leases and Carbon Reduction Commitments 2010.
This is demonstrated in the appointment of the firm's planning department to project manage one of the largest EU Northern Periphery Programme (NPP) projects, called Clim-ATIC.
Graham + Sibbald said they will continue to embrace change and are proud to be at the forefront of an ever-changing property sector in a rapidly changing business environment. The newly planted trees will be a symbol of the firm’s commitment to the next 50 years.
