National Park rangers and volunteers have been involved in the refurbishment of an antique fingerpost positioned at Kingshouse in rural Stirling.
The fingerpost was reassembled last week, four months after work started, with some vegetation cleared in order to get a clear view of the signage from all directions.
The scalloped fingers are cast in relief and the banded pillar has a large, red ball finial provide directions to Rob Roy's Grave, Balquhidder Glen and Lochearnhead.
Craig Walker, National Park Ranger led on the project and said: "The Kingshouse Fingerpost looks great in its new suit, and will be a great attraction for years to come, the local community have stopped to speak to us when we have been working on the sign and have been very supportive, the results are superb.
"We have worked in Partnership with Stirling Council on this project and look forward to more local projects like this one in the future."
The project required the sign to be carefully dismantled and taken to the National Park workshops in Balloch, where great care was taken to stick to the original design and restore the fingers to their former glory.
The pillar was worked on in situ and finished with red banding and finial. In addition, the small sign opposite was also refurbished; this sign is one of only a handful in the whole of the UK to say '0' as a measurement.
The Milestones Project has been running for three years, with the objective to refurbish ancient signage around the National Park area adding value to the visitor experience and depth to its cultural history.
The work is carried out by Rangers and National Park Volunteers and has so far mostly been targeted round the Trossachs & Breadalbane area.
